Job Description & Requirements Specialty : CT Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography Job Details : Work 12-hour midnight shifts from 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM 40 hours per week with every other weekend required Flexible shift options available including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts 13-week assignment duration No on-call responsibilities High school diploma or GED required Required certifications : ARRT (CT) and BLS Must maintain required hours of continued medical education Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as necessary Analyze anatomical structure, set up equipment, and perform CT scans Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if needed Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies Demonstrate radiation protection principles including patient shielding and ALARA techniques Complete all PACS and RIS documentation and imaging procedures May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients Occasionally lift and move equipment and / or patients exceeding 10 lbs Work in Level I Trauma Center environment Facility : This major healthcare system operates as a Level I Trauma Center providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
