[job_card.job_description]Work Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM Rotating call schedule Monday-Friday 4 : 30 PM to 7 : 30 AM and Saturday-Sunday 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 AM, including holidays Call coverage for interventional radiology and CT procedures only Maintain 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio for procedural sedation Perform general patient assessment head-to-toe and recognize complications when they arise Understand and implement radiation safety measures when applicable Explain procedures to patients and family members while addressing concerns Communicate with team members and radiologists regarding patient needs Make critical decisions and act in critical situations Adjust quickly to new environments and juggle multiple responsibilities between departments Provide sedation for invasive procedures including port placements / removals, tunneled and non-tunneled line placements / removals, CT biopsies, chest tube placements, and neurovascular interventions Handle non-invasive procedures such as sedation for MRIs and port access / deaccess Work with common medications including Versed, Fentanyl, Cefazolin, Levaquin, Lidocaine, and Nitroglycerin Spray Operate equipment including computer, ISTAT, ACT Machine, Penumbra, IV Pump, and Vital Sign Machine Required skills : IV insertion, PICC / Central line management, vascular device access / care, tele interpretation, cardioversion / defibrillation, procedural sedation, and circulating Preferred skills : CVP and sheath removal Subject to downstaffing 36 / 48 hours in a 13-week contract based on weekly schedule Referral bonus
