Job Title:
Tool Crib Attendant
Reports to:
Production Manager
General Description:
Prepare and Pre-stage all tool kits for set-ups. Be responsible for all tool inventory, organization and reordering. Maintain and document tool history. Assist Shipping and Receiving when need arises.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-stage duties (40%)
- Pre-stage all tooling, holders and collects required for set-up of CNC , SWISS and VMC machines
- Work with scheduler to verify material and plan for orders
- Managing perishable tools (30%)
- Coordinate purchase orders for perishable tools
- Maintains inventory levels in software (cribware)
- Receives inbound supplies (10%)
- Coordinate sharpening of form tools, cutoff, drill, box tool and chaser using surface grinder or bench grinder is required(10%)
- General assistance as needed(10%)
- Set-up of secondary operations and machines
- Raw material storage, movement to machines, and loading raw material into machines
- Ability toperform first piece inspections
- Assist shipping if need arises.
- Other duties as required

Job Qualifications Requirements:
- Knowledge
- High school or equivalent (read, basic math, blueprint reading) 5 years minimum. B&S/CNC job shop experience is a Plus.
- Layout, tool design, machine repair helpful
- Experience
- No experience required. Training period: 3 to 5 years
- Machines, Tools, Equipment
- Interest in CNC, hand tools, measuring instruments, surface and bench grinders. Lathe, mill, and drill press experience helpful
- Information/Directions
- Blueprints, verbal and written instructions, screw machine layouts, strong sense of organization and initiative.
