Job Description
We are seeking a Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist in South Carolina.
Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist
Position Type : Locum Tenens
Specialty : Physician - Gastroenterology
Location : Anderson, SC
Rate : Open & Negotiable
Shift : 24-Hour On-Call (7 AM - 7 AM)
Start Date : 6 / 9 / 2025 (7 AM)
End Date : 6 / 16 / 2025 (7 AM)
Additional Dates : 11 / 24 / 2025 (7 AM) - 12 / 1 / 2025 (7 AM)
Position Details :
Patient Population : Adult, Hospital-Based
Setting : Hospital
Responsibilities :
Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage
Perform required procedures
Cover 24-hour call shifts
Required Procedures :
Colonoscopy
Liver Biopsy
Esophageal Dilatation / Manometry
Esophageal Manometry Interpretation
Lower GI Endoscopy
Sigmoidoscopy
Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic)
Preferred but not required : ERCP
EMR System : Epic
Support Staff : APP support during weekdays; solo coverage during nights / weekends
Days Per Month : Multiple shifts available
On-Call / Weekends : Required
Submission Requirements :
Board Certified in Gastroenterology - REQUIRED
Active South Carolina license - REQUIRED
100% clean background - HIGHLY PREFERRED (small malpractice cases may be considered)
ERCP - Preferred but not required
Must be available for listed dates - NO EXCEPTIONS
