Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and significant prior perm experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am
  • Adult medical-surgical patient population with telemetry monitoring
  • Uses Qualivis – Lotus system for timekeeping
  • Responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and providing high-quality care to Med / Surg Telemetry patients
  • Assignments at facility locations may not exceed 18 consecutive months, with a minimum six month wait before a new assignment at the same health system
  • Will be required to provide proof of driver’s license and social security number

    • Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand
  • AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
  • Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel
  • Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score
  • At least one recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge RN in Med / Surg Telemetry required
