Vision for the position

The Family Pastor is coming to hold a significant leadership position at the executive level. They will prayerfully brainstorm and work with the Pastor to grow Piedmont Church and the Kingdom of God. Their primary influence will be shepherding our Next Gen ministries, equipping families to lead others to Love God, Love People, and Invest in His Kingdom.

About the Church

Piedmont is a creative, modern, Non-Denominational Church that looks to Love and Invest. We were planted in 7 as a seeker sensitive style church. In 9, the Lord brought in new leadership and a new vision to be a Church that desires to make disciples. Keeping to some of our founding philosophies, Piedmont has become a church that values production and excellence while keeping Jesus at the center.

Our church has grown by % since 1. Our average weekly attendance is people, with of those numbers falling in Next Generation Ministries. Macon has a population of approximately k people and is the principal city in Middle GA, expanding its reach to over k people. Piedmont has a , sq ft building that sits on acres of land. We desire to be good stewards of what God has given us and reach the community for His glory.

OBJECTIVES

• Develop and oversee Discipleship pathways for Piedmont Families, focusing on Missional Communities and Next Generation Ministries.
• Provide visionary leadership for Nursery, Kids, and Student ministries, ensuring alignment with our mission and fostering collaboration.
• Actively engage with the church community and community at large, reflecting a genuine presence in people’s lives through regular interaction and support.

• Love of leading leaders.
• Proficient communication skills, both in large groups and one-on-one.
• Ability to be fun and have fun.
• The ability to have clear and honest communication with staff and volunteers while maintaining a shepherd's heart.

A person who knows when to work hard and play hard. Someone passionate about creating systems, leading leaders to reach the lost, and discipleship is a part of who you are. The Family Pastor must see the value in aesthetics, planning, production, and excellence. A learner who is constantly looking to gain a better understanding and perspective of themselves, others, and Jesus will be required for this job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Alongside the Lead Pastor, lead the church in the Missional Community Strategy
• Provide overall vision and oversight to the Next Generation Ministries
• Leading leaders to handle all logistical aspects of the ministry, including scheduling, teaching, and events
• Help recruit, train, and encourage ministry Tabelsetters (volunteers) when needed
• Assist leaders to manage their spaces and keep them creative and clean
• Preach on Sundays at least six to eight times a year.
• Dream, discover, strategize, and plan for the upcoming calendar year in collaboration with the staff
• Community Presence
• Manage and oversee the systems and technology in all Next Generation areas with your teams.
• Assist staff with church-wide events: execution and planning.
• Go beyond the job. Examples are being engaged in people’s lives by attending schools, dinners, parties, and more.
