Laboratory Assistant

Contract: Full time

We’re looking for a reliable and proactive Laboratory Assistant to join our client in Immingham. This role plays a key part in supporting laboratory operations and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute actively to a positive safety culture by following all health and safety procedures
• Operate the bottle wash machine to ensure a steady supply of clean sampling containers
• Maintain sample container stock levels in site control rooms
• Conduct sample collection both on-site and off-site, adhering to sampling protocols
• Manage sample disposal, including preparing samples for shipment from the store
• Perform sampling of product blenders to support quality assurance processes
• Handle collection from and delivery to main stores
• Conduct general upkeep of the lab pick-up vehicle: check and maintain oil, water, fuel, tyre pressure, cleaning, and nut torque
• Receive and store deliveries for lab supplies and maintain lab store organisation
