LPN/LVN

Denton State Supported Living Center is currently accepting applications for LVN/LPNs for a 6-month commitment, with the possibility of extension, 40 hours per week, 1st & 2nd shifts. Working 8-hour shifts and some weekends out of the month, various shift options with a 30-minute break during the 8-hour shift. Nurses will be expected to attend 'everyday' of New Employee Orientation and Nursing Education. Attendance and punctuality is imperative during the orientation period. LVN/LPNs must have a current unencumbered 2 year nursing license, pass a background check, and drug screening.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
• Perform computer data entry – Receive full training.
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess valid LVN license.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience
• Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements.
• Must submit to HHSC required drug test.
• Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting.
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training.
