Accounting Manager

Our retail distribution client is in search of an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for leading the corporate accounting functions and team, reporting to the Director.

This role sits mostly onsite (Friday remote) and offers salary around $110-115K. Full benefits package, PTO, paid holidays and 401k program.

Your Duties :

  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information.
  • Review reconciliations and post journal entries related to accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, payroll, cost & inventory and other various general ledger activities.
  • Review, validate and distribute financial statements.
  • Supervision and control of account payable, account receivable, general ledger functions and staff.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain proper documentation and support of all entries.
  • Prepare reconciliation schedule and analyze all balance sheet general ledger accounts include bank reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the finance team to support all efforts related to financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accurate reporting of the financial statements.

Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license (or currently pursuing)
  • 5 years of experience in the accounting field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of technical and professional principles and skills of accounting including GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and independent self-starter

    • Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 Per Year
