A healthcare organization is seeking a Physician to provide Occupational Health coverage on a locum basis. This role offers a steady daytime schedule and the opportunity to support an outpatient Occupational Health clinic during a medical leave.

About the Opportunity :

  • Schedule : 4 days per week
  • Hours : 8 : 00am-2 : 00pm
  • On-Call : None
  • Setting : Outpatient Occupational Health
  • Patient Volume : 10-15 patients per day
  • Contract : Short-term assignment with the possibility to extend
  • Support : Independent role; no APP support required
  • Overtime : Daily OT after 12 hours; weekly OT after 168 hours
  • Procedures : EKGs, PFTs, wound care, and possible suturing

Responsibilities :

  • Performing Occupational Health evaluations and post-offer medical clearance exams
  • Managing workplace injuries and conducting fit-for-duty assessments
  • Completing EKGs, PFTs, and basic procedures, including wound care
  • Documenting patient encounters in accordance with clinic protocols
  • Providing timely and appropriate medical recommendations
  • Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and regulatory standards

    • Qualifications :

  • 1+ year of relevant experience in Occupational Health, Primary Care, or Urgent Care
  • MD or DO degree

    • Active state medical license

  • Proficiency with EKGs and PFTs
  • Ability to manage minor procedures (wound care, possible suturing)
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and patient-engagement skills

    • Desired Skills :

  • Experience in workplace injury management
  • Familiarity with occupational safety protocols
  • Strong documentation and EMR proficiency
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
