Job Description :

Description : The Radiation Therapist PRN is responsible for administering radiation therapy to Patients under direction of Chief Radiation Therapist and Radiation Oncology medical staff.

Typical Duties :

• Performs tumor localization procedures creating shells and molds, etc.
• Performs daily linear accelerator warm-up procedures.
• Checks photon beam and all electron beams for consistency. Checks physics components for accuracy of beam alignment.
• Delivers accurately the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy. Observes Patients for unusual reactions and events.
• Prepares Radiation Oncology treatment blocks and molds to for patient treatment.
• Transfers patients from wheelchairs and gurneys to linac / CT simulator couches.
• Participates in the PI process.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
