ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for Experienced Floor Techs. The floor technician position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment.

Shift : 4 : 00pm - 12 : 30am M-F

Pay : $16.50 hourly / Weekly Pay

Essential Functions :

The Floor Tech is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning. Also responsible for using safety measures in work areas. Duties also include assisting the Building / Account Lead with special projects including but not limited to, setups, breakdowns, move in / move outs). Willing to complete other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities :

Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds

Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications

Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors

Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment

Qualifications :

1 yr of prior experience as a Floor Tech

Equipment Used : IMOP, Kaivac, Scrubber T500 & T300, Backpack & Upright Vacuums, Carpet Extractor (large self contained), and Side by Side Orbital Scrubber / Buffer.
