About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in Virginia!

We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 28-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers weekday shifts from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, with potential flexibility for a 4-5 day workweek. Candidates must bring at least 2 years of outpatient family practice experience and possess a current DEA certificate.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide high-quality outpatient care to patients within a family practice setting
  • Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and develop treatment plans
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with DEA regulations
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and standards

  • Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Virginia
  • At least 2 years of outpatient family practice experience required
  • Active DEA certification required
