Lead daily huddles and facilitate effective clinical and service operations. Assist with direct patient care and perform duties of a Medical Assistant as needed. Oversee staff competency, monitor scope of practice, and report concerns. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and diagnostic test regulations; conduct quality audits. Maintain credentials, attend conferences, and support educational growth. Collaborate with other leads, managers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Position Summary
Job Title : Lead Medical Assistant – Pediatric Gastroenterology
Location : 5131 E Southern Ave., Mesa, AZ 85206
Schedule : Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Medical Assistant to join our Pediatric Gastroenterology team. The role provides floor leadership, patient care, staff supervision, credential maintenance, and cross‑department collaboration in a dynamic pediatric specialty environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certification : RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) through AMT or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) through AAMA – no other certifications accepted.
- BLS Certification : Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
- Education : Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or possession of MA certification from AAMA or AMT).
- Experience : Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare and / or pediatric setting.
