Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive physical examinations and meticulous evaluations of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions via the interpretation of imaging studies and lab work
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
• Provide in-surgery assistance, which includes preparing the operating rooms, confirming proper patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments
• Offer excellent pre- and post-operative care, covering responsibilities like medication distribution, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
• Prior completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practices is strongly preferred

Certifications Needed

• Unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications needed
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
