Now Hiring : Server – Rooftop Restaurant at Hotel Erwin, Venice Beach

Location : Rooftop of Hotel Erwin, Venice, CA

Wage : $22.50 / hour + tips

Job Type : Full-Time or Part-Time

About the Restaurant

High above the iconic Venice Beach boardwalk, our new rooftop restaurant offers sweeping views, coastal-inspired cuisine, and a sun-drenched vibe from day to night. Operated by Wish You Were Here Group , this vibrant new concept blends Mediterranean flavors, elevated cocktails, and DJ-fueled energy into an unforgettable rooftop experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for friendly, professional, and service-driven Servers to join our opening team. As a Server, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences—delivering knowledgeable, attentive service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide warm, attentive service that makes every guest feel welcome
  • Present menus, answer questions, and offer informed food and beverage recommendations
  • Accurately take and enter orders using the POS system
  • Ensure guest allergies and dietary needs are communicated and respected
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and in compliance with service standards
  • Handle payment transactions accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section and the venue
  • Collaborate with hosts, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service
  • Follow all opening, closing, and sanitation procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant or lounge preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to stay composed under pressure
  • Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

    Requirements :

    Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Company in-venue dining room server training, Alcohol Awareness Certificate, Food Handling Certificate.
  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Previous dining room server experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant / nightclub / lounge.
  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
  • Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
