Civil Engineer

Description

Osborn is looking for a mid-level Civil Engineer who will report to the Manager of Civil Engineering and is able to prepare engineering calculations draft construction plans manage projects engineering tasks and assist Project Managers with communications and design coordination. This position can lead to additional opportunities for growth in project management and leadership for candidates who demonstrate exceptional organizational technical and communication skills.

Osborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 300 plus professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil structural mechanical electrical plumbing fire protection and life safety technology engineering transportation and commissioning. Our civil engineering practice includes design projects in diverse markets including site development redevelopment public utilities water resources sports facilities broadcast infrastructure master planning and pavement management.

Position Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review designs and specifications for civil projects
• Prepare and review construction documents and permit submittals
• Coordinate with other design disciplines e.g. architects and engineers
• Document design changes and communications
• Manage small to medium projects and engineering tasks
• Assist with the management of project delivery invoicing and financial performance
• Assist with the development of scope budget and schedule for new projects and tasks
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed
