Warehouse Only Technician

The Warehouse Only Technician will process orders, prepare items for shipment and receive incoming inventory. Also responsible for cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, cleaning room maintenance, stocking and staging inventory, and inventory maintenance. The technician assists the supervisor or manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery in addition to assembly of equipment when necessary. Maintaining confidentiality and all other aspects of HIPAA compliance are essential in this job.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

1. Loading and Unloading:
2. Safely load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and pallets.
3. Receives and opens merchandise shipments, processes packing slips or invoices, and safely stores items.
4. Verify the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing shipments.
5. Collects and delivers packages to the shipping area.
6. Material Handling:
7. Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
8. Ensure materials are stored in a safe and organized manner.
9. Inventory Management:
10. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
11. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
12. Assists in the stocking, tracking, and replenishment of inventory.
13. Responsible for communicating actual and potential stock shortages or outages to the warehouse manager in a timely manner to assure adequate inventory level.
14. Responsible for monitoring expiration dates to assure supplies are returned or re-inventoried per company guidelines.
15. Order Fulfillment:
16. Prepares shipping containers in advance and creates labels.
17. Reviews itemized customer lists; locates and assembles outgoing merchandise to fulfill requests.
18. Verifies contents of outgoing packages against invoices or bills of lading.
19. Pick and pack orders accurately according to picking lists or order sheets.
20. Prepare and label orders for shipment.
21. Safety and Maintenance:
22. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
23. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
24. Retains knowledge of and consistently adheres to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
25. Routinely cleans warehouse area pursuant to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), discards waste material daily and maintains a clean facility.
26. Documentation:
27. Complete and maintain necessary documentation for material handling and inventory control.
28. Assist with updating inventory management systems as required.
29. Performs data entry in appropriate applications, updates shipping information, and tracks orders.
30. Completes clerical tasks including faxing, scanning, filing, and general phone calls.
31. Documents returned items and cleans equipment following the Branch Maintenance and Cleaning Guidelines
32. Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
33. Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
34. Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth's Compliance Program
35. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Construction, general manual labor, military and equipment repair, or maintenance skills would be considered related experience.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 85 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 160 pounds.
• Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and supplies.
• Subject to long periods of walking or sitting.
• Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall work activities and work levels fluctuate.
• May be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.
