General Maintenance Engineer

A General Maintenance will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of general building/facilities maintenance experience

• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Intermediate knowledge of bathroom plumbing fixtures, door hardware, and HVAC systems

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Previous hotel or service industry experience preferred

• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a diverse work environment

• Excellent verbal communication and customer engagement skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively

• Proficiency with electronic devices and computers

• Knowledge of a second language is a plus

  Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift

• Regular kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting

• Occasional climbing of stairs, ladders, and ramps

• Lift moderate weight, up to 50 lbs.
