This position is based in Milwaukee, WI. Hybrid environment 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
How will you make an impact?
As a Senior Analyst, you will be a part of the Finance Analytics & Reporting team that is responsible for monitoring, and reporting on our reinsurance agreements, risk, and financial reporting. You will provide analytical insights to Finance leaders to aid in their decision-making processes. You will work with cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate data, improve reporting processes, and enhance decision‑making across the organization.
This is accomplished by:
- Using BI tools to prepare and deliver precise monthly/quarterly reports, schedules and documents to meet the requirements of reinsurers, management companies, government regulators, and senior management
- Collaborating cross-functionally to understand the reinsurance program’s dependencies and impact across departments; Serve as the subject matter expert on MGIC’s specific reinsurance programs
- Design and maintain dashboards that provides clear insights into reinsurance program performance and trends, highlighting key changes across programs
- Effectively communicate with leadership and the cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with the cross functional partners to analyze new reinsurance contracts to define implementation needs, provide required data files, and address related questions.
- Assisting the data governance initiative by documenting data terminology and processes
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, data analytics or related fields
- 5+ years of recent experience performing complex work in finance, analytics, or reinsurance business units
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong proficiency in SAS, SQL, or other data programming languages
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking

Pay Range:
$87,990.00 - $149,590.00
