Cook I

Full Time, 10 : 30am to 7 : 00pm with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off

  • $21.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience.

Job Description

  • Responsible for preparing and serving all food items per standardized recipes to include, but not limited to : boils, braises and roasts items as well as fries, steams, grills, and bakes.
  • Assists in food prep assignments to include daily prep, special functions, banquets, catering, holiday and special events.
  • Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours and determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus

    What you will bring

    Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, retirement community or similar institution
  • Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
  • Culinary education preferred
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
