A company is looking for a Medical Director (CT).
Key Responsibilities
Provides medical oversight and determines appropriateness and necessity of health care services for members
Supports utilization management programs and evaluates their effectiveness, ensuring quality member care
Educates providers on utilization practices and participates in quality assurance and accreditation processes
Required Qualifications
At least 3 years of health care experience, including 2 years of medical practice experience
Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in Connecticut
Board certification
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulatory requirements affecting medical staff
Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed organization
