PrideStaff is seeking a hard working Truck Loader for a metal fabrication company located in Matthews, NC. The ideal candidate has previous years of experience in flatbed tractor trailers loading and unloading. Location: Matthews, NC 28105 Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00am-4:30pm, occasional Saturday work required Pay Rate: $20-$22/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Truck Loader is responsible for the safe and secure loading of all canopy component parts on trailers for deliver to customer's job sites.
• Pull materials ( i.e.- PVC pipe, drywall studs, boxes, pallets, gutters and panels) and place on trailer
• Load trailer using Hyster sit-down and Raymond stand-up forklifts and a Deshazo crane
• Use work order form to pull materials to be loaded on the trailer
• Layout a load plan for the trailer determining weight and lengths of materials
• Pull panel orders by unloading Rollform Department's racks
• Set up trailer by laying down boards to balance steel if necessary
• Inform Supervisor of any materials needed to secure the load on the trailer
• Strap down material securely on trailer
• Knowledge handling international shipments (i.e.- weighting material and counting bundles and boxes for shipment)
• Keep rollform racks empty enabling the Rollform Department to continue running and loading deck panels on the racks
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Assist the Rollform Department when needed
• Empty dumpster if necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience using a nail gun.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00
