Summary: The OB Sonographer will function as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serve as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and control all ultrasound equipment
• Thoroughly explain the examination procedures to patients in a friendly, comforting manner
• Perform scanning test/functions according to ordering physician's requisition
• Notify physicians of any abnormalities or concerns immediately
• Set up and clean all scanning equipment and work area prior to seeing first patient
• Maintain an adequate amount of essential supplies at all times by placing orders accordingly
• Troubleshoot any equipment/software issues and reporting any issues

Education/Experience

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent clinical experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a Clinical Imaging/Ultrasound environment
