Data Analytics and Management Specialist Federal Projects

SUMMARY :

The Concourse Group is looking for a skilled data analytics and management specialist to support data analysis and management needs for a federal client.

Our data analytics and management specialist will have strong analytic and organizational skills such as data processing, database management, data visualization, and preferably some exposure to cybersecurity requirements. Successful candidates will have excellent computer science skills, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable in fast-paced environments and managing an independent workflow while looking forward to future tasks. This position requires previous experience in a federal government data context either as a contractor or federal employee.

Candidates must live locally to Metro DC as it may require infrequent visits to the client locations throughout the National Capital Region.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Strong analytical skills and ability to transform data into visual and written summaries
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
• Documented experience crafting and running Microsoft Excel scripts and codes to double-check the accuracy of information and work products to provide consistently accurate and high-quality work
• Strong skills in R, Python, or SQL
• Strong skills in Tableau, Power BI or Qlik
• Skilled in Oracle or other database management systems
• Independent worker that can manage multiple tasks while forward-looking at future tasks under the direction of a team lead
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both writing and orally
• Strong attention to detail
• Documented ability to develop and administer tracking mechanisms, user tools, and worksheets as necessary to track productivity, ensure mandates are followed, meet deadlines, respond to data calls, and accomplish other requirements as needed.
• Distill complex information from multiple sources into guidance documents, analytical assessments, reports, memoranda, and presentations tailored for senior public sector clients and whole community partners
• Develop concise, clear, and easily consumable written deliverables based on research and data
• Ability to prioritize workflow to meet all future deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite of software applications to create and maintain documents and communications.
• Documented ability to maintain and practice operational security (OPSEC) in the performance of daily duties and to report OPSEC issues or concerns.

REQUIRED TASKS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

AND

Four (4) years of experience providing data management and analysis for Federal Government as either a contractor or federal employee. Schooling and internships DO NOT qualify as experience.

OR

If less than a Bachelors Degree has been obtained : Six (6) years of experience providing data management and analysis for Federal Government as either a contractor or federal employee. Schooling and internships DO NOT qualify as experience.
