Occupational Therapist, Per Diem

Salary: $60-$70 DOE

Location:We have openings in theSan Francisco, Peninsula, South Bay,andEast Bayareas.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will provide skilled therapy in patients' homes. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring compliance with physician orders. You will also educate patients and caregivers and prepare them for discharge when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Valid State License as an Occupational Therapist required
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients and staff
• Good oral and written communication and documentation skills
• Valid CA Drivers License and current auto insurance
• Accepting New Graduates

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy services according to the physicians treatment plan.
• Assist in evaluating clients' functioning levels and developing or revising care plans.
• Use therapeutic activities to restore function and improve self-care.
• Record and report clients' reactions and any changes in their conditions.
• Educate clients and caregivers about occupational therapy processes and adaptive devices.
• Provide staff training as directed by the Clinical Manager.
• Regularly assess client needs and update care plans accordingly.
• Initiate preventive and rehabilitative procedures as necessary.
• Coordinate care through interdisciplinary communication and case conferences.
• Maintain accurate and timely client care progress records.
• Stay current on occupational therapy trends and documentation requirements.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement programs.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Aides at least every 30 days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
