As a Breaking News Editor, you'll be at the heart of Bloomberg's real-time coverage, scanning a constant flow of corporate news to identify what matters most. Corporate news expertise and editorial speed are paramount - but right alongside that, a deep commitment to integrating AI into our workflows is essential.

You'll make swift, confident editorial decisions and craft clear, impactful headlines that move at lightning speed to inform global readers. Whether it's tracking regulatory filings or parsing corporate earnings, you'll ensure Bloomberg delivers accurate, timely, and insightful updates. At the same time, you'll actively leverage and shape AI-driven tools to enhance how we monitor, prioritize, write, and deliver news.

We're looking for someone who thrives in the high-speed environment of breaking financial news and sees AI not as an add-on, but as a core part of modern journalism. From smarter news detection and automated signal tracking to headline optimization and workflow efficiency, you'll play a key role in embedding AI into the DNA of our breaking news operation.

Whether it's tracking regulatory filing or parsing corporate earnings, you'll ensure Bloomberg delivers accurate, timely, and insightful updates. Collaboration is key: you'll work closely with reporters and editors across bureaus and newsrooms worldwide to uphold Bloomberg's reputation for speed, accuracy, and clarity.

We'll expect you to:

• Lead with urgency and accuracy - make fast, sound editorial calls as news breaks, ensuring Bloomberg's coverage stays first and flawless.

• Craft headlines that matter - write and edit clear, impactful copy that captures the essence of complex financial developments in seconds.

• Champion innovation - explore and implement ways AI and automation can enhance our newsroom workflow, from monitoring to publishing.

• Collaborate across the globe - work closely with editors, reporters, and product teams to deliver seamless, high-impact news coverage.

• Stay ahead of the curve - continuously track market-moving events, regulatory filings, and earnings reports to surface what truly matters.

• Balance speed with judgment - remain calm, analytical, and precise even under intense deadline pressure.

You'll need:

• Curiosity and initiative in applying AI or automation to news workflows

• Comfort with data, analytics, and emerging newsroom technologies

• Proven experience working in a fast-paced financial or business news environment

• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to write and edit sharp, concise headlines

• The ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure

Salary Range = 90000 - 125000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
