Description :

General Comments : Unit Information : Cardiac Stepdown Unit.

Number of Beds : 18.

Type of Staff : Day Shift 4 : 1 with 1-2 Patient Care Technicians; Goal 1 RN - 1 LPN for 8 patients in a team nursing model.

Night Shift : 4 : 1 with 1-2 Patient Care Technicians; Goal 1 RN - 1 LPN for 8 patients in a team nursing model.

EMR : MEDITECH.

LPN will be responsible for all patient care with the exception of assessments, documentation of discharge, restraints, and setup of blood administration.

LPN will work in a team nursing model with an RN to care for 8 medical stepdown patients, with the RN responsible for all assessments.

LPN will be responsible for medication administration, wound care, and other patient care as needed.

In addition to the RN / LPN team, there will also be a Patient Care Technician to assist with patient care, vitals, etc.

Dress Code : Scrub color - Navy Blue.
