Food Security Program Coordinator

Coordinate and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of food security program to ensure that it meets the needs of patients and families. Manages day-to-day operations of food pantry and other initiatives. Assists with outreach to community partners in this work.

Series Concept : A program is a specialized area with specific complex components and discrete tasks which distinguish it from the main body of the organization. A program is specific to a particular subject. The specialized tasks involve interpretation of policies, procedures and regulations, independent functioning, and public contact. Duties are not of a general support nature easily transferable from one program to another. Performance of administrative / clerical duties is in support of the incumbent's performance of specific programmatic tasks.

Required Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in administration, customer service, health education, inventory management, or related area in a hospital / research setting.

Required Credentials : Food and Beverage Handler's Permit.

Preferred : Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Social Work, Health Education, Public Health, or related field. Experience in community outreach, inventory management, volunteer supervision, and / or continuous improvement. Knowledge of cultural competency, health disparities, and social determinants of health. Experience with program development and subsequent coordination of resources and services.

Compensation Range : $26.51 - $39.76 per hour. This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
