American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of trauma OR experience and ARRT certification for a hospital-based Diagnostic Radiology assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Work in a hospital Diagnostic Radiology department with assignments in the Emergency Room or Operating Room

Duties include portable radiography with adult, geriatric, and young patients

Patient care may involve trauma level I or II cases

Technology includes GE, Carestream, and OEC C-Arms

Cerner is used for charting

Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm), Monday through Friday with every other weekend

No on-call required

Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital

Perform radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians and according to department protocols

Explain procedures, review requisitions, and prepare patients for imaging

Maintain and restock procedure rooms and supplies

Administer IV contrast media and monitor for reactions if appropriate

Follow all safety, infection control, and radiation protection standards

Document thoroughly in medical records and Radiology Information System

Assist in training new hires and students when needed

Must complete onsite online learning modules with passing scores prior to start

Team environment focused on communication, respect, and customer service

Scrubs and dress code per hospital policy

All time-off requests must be discussed prior to assignment; later requests subject to management approval

Active MI radiographer license required if applicable

ARRT (RT) certification required, registry eligible candidates must obtain registry within 6 months of hire

AHA BCLS certification required

Minimum of 2 years of Radiology experience in a trauma level I or II facility and in the OR

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Must complete required hours of continued education

Ability to occasionally lift and / or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbs

COVID-19 vaccination required
