American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of trauma OR experience and ARRT certification for a hospital-based Diagnostic Radiology assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital Diagnostic Radiology department with assignments in the Emergency Room or Operating RoomDuties include portable radiography with adult, geriatric, and young patientsPatient care may involve trauma level I or II casesTechnology includes GE, Carestream, and OEC C-ArmsCerner is used for chartingFour 10-hour day shifts per week (7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm), Monday through Friday with every other weekendNo on-call requiredPotential to float to a nearby sister hospitalPerform radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians and according to department protocolsExplain procedures, review requisitions, and prepare patients for imagingMaintain and restock procedure rooms and suppliesAdminister IV contrast media and monitor for reactions if appropriateFollow all safety, infection control, and radiation protection standardsDocument thoroughly in medical records and Radiology Information SystemAssist in training new hires and students when neededMust complete onsite online learning modules with passing scores prior to startTeam environment focused on communication, respect, and customer serviceScrubs and dress code per hospital policyAll time-off requests must be discussed prior to assignment; later requests subject to management approval\n \n Requirements\n
Active MI radiographer license required if applicableARRT (RT) certification required, registry eligible candidates must obtain registry within 6 months of hireAHA BCLS certification requiredMinimum of 2 years of Radiology experience in a trauma level I or II facility and in the ORHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMust complete required hours of continued educationAbility to occasionally lift and / or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbsCOVID-19 vaccination required\n Benefits\n
