Machine Operator (Production Associate)

Location : Durham, NC

Shift : 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11 : 00pm - 7 : 30am

As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in assembling materials and operating equipment safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Assembling materials and operating equipment within specifications.
  • Measuring, assembling, applying chemicals, and transporting materials with precision.
  • Verifying that solutions, materials, and finished products meet specifications before use or release.
  • Handling raw materials and finished products with care to prevent damage.
  • Operating equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and specifications.
  • Maintaining process specifications and inspecting products for quality.
  • Accurately recording process data and information.
  • Making informed decisions based on gathered data.
  • Communicating issues regarding products, processes, and data to supervisors or managers promptly.

Requirements for the Machine Operator :

  • Reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Self-motivated with good basic math and written communication skills.
  • Safety-conscious and willing to take on responsibility.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain good attendance.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and accurately record information.
  • Work experience in an industrial environment with knowledge of general plant safety.

    • Working Conditions :

  • Exposure to mechanical noise, a dusty work environment, and varying temperatures.

    • Physical Requirements for the Machine Operator

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing physical activities like walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling.
