Security Officer - Distribution Badge Desk

As a Security Officer - Distribution Badge Desk in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to support site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, drivers, and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any unusual activities or security-related incidents according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas or following evacuation procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and / or law enforcement as directed to address security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
