Work Schedule : Monday-Friday | 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM (40 hours / week)

Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) II, under the direction of a physician, supports the delivery of high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including patient care, documentation, medication administration, and support with scheduling and workflow as needed. The position requires flexibility to float between nearby facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
- Prepare and clean exam rooms; disinfect equipment and restock supplies
- Escort patients from the waiting area and prepare them for examinations
- Collect, record, and document patient information in the medical record
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight)
- Prepare patients for procedures, tests, X-rays, and examinations
- Perform routine testing, EKGs, and collect / process blood and urine specimens
- Administer routine medications, injections, and vaccinations (excluding controlled substances) as directed
- Monitor and report adverse patient reactions
- Remove sutures and change sterile and non-sterile dressings as requested
- Support front desk operations when needed (scheduling, phones, patient flow)
- Participate in team huddles, meetings, and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with mentoring and training staff as required
Required Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited programCurrent BLS certificationValid Driver's License (required)Minimum 1 year of CMA experienceComfortable floating between facilities within approximately 15 minutesExperience with Epic EMR preferredStrong clinical and administrative skillsSkills & Competencies
Knowledge of safe medication administration and the "5 Rights"Ability to administer injections and perform phlebotomyStrong understanding of medical terminologyFamiliarity with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standardsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and patient interaction skillsProfessional bedside manner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
