We are currently hiring Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanics to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Position Overview

The Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment in a shop setting. This position requires mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, dump trucks, and other construction vehicles
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical systems
  • Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with Shop Foreman and Project Superintendent
  • Assist with parts identification and occasional ordering
  • Ensure all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

  • Experience as a heavy equipment and diesel mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools and basic shop equipment
  • Willingness to work on various types of equipment and in a hands-on role
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated

    • Preferred Skills

  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance and inspection standards
  • Experience working in a highway or civil construction setting
