Quality Control Inspector- Night Shift

Spitzer, a recognized industry leader in designing and fabricating high-specification equipment, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Quality Control Inspector Look Like?

• Understand and follow safety policies and procedures of the shop.
• Work closely with production personnel and supervisors to correct quality deficiencies.
• Reporting to Supervisor of any quality issues, tracking of project requirements, and documentation of work performed will be necessary as a daily task.
• Confirm compliance to the Quality Management System Procedures and work instructions.
• Support and ensure compliance with all OSHA and HSE policies throughout the fabrication divisions.
• Read and comprehend project specifications and drawings.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on product line as applicable.
• Perform welder or fitter audits.
• Ensure compliance to codes, standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain weld maps & material traceability records.
• Interface with shop personnel.
• Keep QC Lead Inspector / QC Manager advised of approaching inspection witness and hold points.
• Ensure timely inspections are performed.
• Provide project status reports.
• Attend project meetings as required.
• Responsible for determining component acceptance or rejection.
• Ensure stoppage of nonconforming work and unsafe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.

Work Schedule

Spitzer currently runs two shifts, Monday through Friday with overtime on weekend work as needed. Late afternoon / evening / weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
