Build and maintain strong relationships with A&D firms, developers, procurement companies, and industry influencers to drive long-term value and enhance brand representation.
Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities / potential customers through strategic networking, lead generation, and industry engagement.
Sell products for Moroso USA by conducting in-depth client needs assessments to align proposals / solutions with market demands, customer expectations and product feasibility.
Research and monitor industry trends across hospitality, entertainment, corporate, healthcare, education, and travel sectors relevant to product positioning and sales strategies.
Identify potential customers and negotiate partnerships with stakeholders.
Drive project-based sales efforts, collaborating with architects, designers, and decision-makers to secure specifications, sales terms, and contracts.
Deliver compelling sales pitches, product presentations, and storytelling techniques tailored to diverse audiences and cultural contexts in order to highlight product features and solicit orders.
Receive directives from Moroso Global HQ (Italy) to align US market strategies and expand representation across key U.S. regions.
Monitor project activity by tracking sales performance, refining processes to improve efficiency and sales effectiveness, and consulting with clients to provide ongoing after sales support.
Provide proposals for clients to support business plans focused on market expansion and to meet specific customer needs.
Answer customer questions and provide documentation related to products, estimated costs, and recommended product solutions.
Position requires a High School level diploma (General, Vocational, GED) or foreign equivalent and 35 months experience in the luxury, custom upholstered furniture manufacturing and contract sales industry in the job offered, Sales Associate & Special Projects Manager or Sales Associate & Project Manager that includes specific experience in cruise ship and theater / auditorium contract projects; reading and analyzing technical drawings, design drawings, construction documents and technical schematics; advising on contract-grade materials that meet quality standards and comply with industry, jurisdictional, and regulatory requirements; knowledge of standard quality means and materials in construction; managing luxury and high-end specialty wholesale projects with expertise in specialty products and custom solutions; management of product selection in the context of multi-jurisdiction codes and regulation compliance; project management of timeline and budgets related to overseas production and importation of products; representing, selling, and cross-selling custom-manufactured and modified products across multiple specialty product lines; securing preferred client agreements in excess of $700,000; demonstrated year-over-year client retention; proficiency in Salesforce, Airtable, Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Docs, and Microsoft Navision.
Monthly domestic travel of approximately 10 days per month; limited international travel of approximately 2-3 trips annually for trade shows and manufacturing facility visits.
