Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

One of the following:

• Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program
• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Technician Program
• Graduate from a Surgical Technology program
• Graduate from a Cardiovascular Technology program

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLS

One of the following:

ARRT: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography

OR

Respiratory Therapist: Registered as RRT by National Board for Respiratory care (NBRC) for Respiratory Therapists

OR

Surgical Tech:

One of the following:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

OR

Cardiovascular Tech: Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for cardiovascular patients according to established standards and practices.
