The Police Officer’s primary responsibility is to promote community order and protect life and property through the preservation of the public peace, prevention of crime and enforcement of laws. Hudson Police Department is committed to the philosophy of community-oriented policing in dealing with the issues of the day. At the commencement of employment, police officer – laterals and entry level recruits will begin their field training program. The length of the field training program may be modified based upon performance and experience.
