Benchmark Engineer

A company is looking for a Benchmark Engineer to measure, validate, and communicate performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain reproducible benchmarks for vector search and distributed workloads

Evaluate performance metrics such as latency, throughput, and memory usage

Build benchmarking tooling and collaborate with engineers to identify optimization opportunities

Required Qualifications

Strong software engineering background in Rust, Python, Go, or similar

Solid understanding of databases, distributed systems, or search engines

Experience with performance testing, profiling, and benchmarking

Comfort working with large datasets and automation pipelines

Ability to reason about trade-offs in performance metrics
