Psychiatric APP Job Posting - Evening Shift

Upstate Community Medical, PC is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated inpatient psychiatry team at Upstate Community Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated NP to work in a collaborative academic medical center environment.

This full-time evening shift position (2 PM - 11 PM) is essential in providing comprehensive psychiatric care across multiple settings, including the inpatient psychiatry units and the emergency department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric floor coverage for patients on the psychiatric service
• Perform admissions to the inpatient psychiatry unit
• Perform consultations for patients in both inpatient medical units and the emergency department
• Collaborate with attending psychiatrists, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Participate in treatment team meetings, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document clinical progress
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and psychiatric conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

• This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated psychiatry NP
• PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified)
• NYS license
• ACLS & BLS required
• Current CPR
• NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC
• 2 - 3 years of experience in psychiatry preferred.
