Genetic Counselor

Pride Health is hiring a Genetic Counsellor to support our client’s medical facility, based in REMOTE. This is a Contract position with possible extension and a great opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization. Job Summary The Genetic Counselor provides expert clinical genetic counselling services to patients and families, supporting diagnosis, risk assessment, and informed decision-making related to inherited conditions. This role combines strong clinical knowledge, patient-centred communication, and collaboration with healthcare providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive genetic counselling to individuals and families regarding inherited conditions, genetic testing, and risk assessment Collect and analyze personal and family medical histories to assess genetic risk Educate patients on genetic conditions, testing options, potential outcomes, and implications Obtain informed consent and support patients through the genetic testing process Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings clearly and compassionately Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to support patient care plans Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and confidentiality standards Stay current with advancements in genetics, testing methodologies, and ethical guidelines Qualifications Masters in Genetic Counseling Board certification or eligibility (ABGC or equivalent) preferred Prior clinical genetic counselling experience preferred Strong communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while managing a diverse patient population Additional Information Location: REMOTE (USA based) Job Type: 13-week contract (possible extension) Pay Range: Competitive; based on education, experience, and credentials $40-$55/HR Shift: 1st shift.
