The Foundation Donor Database Manager leads the strategic analysis of Valleywise Health Foundation's (VHF's) advancement initiatives, including fundraising, stewardship, communication, and special events. This position is responsible for administering and overseeing the daily operations of the constituent database for VHF, which tracks individual donors, employee giving, foundation donors, institutional giving, corporate donors, volunteers, and prospect information.
The Foundation Donor Database Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of the database, including gift entry, data input and output, donor gift receipts and acknowledgments, and year-end tax statements. The manager also develops fundraising reports and performance dashboards, makes strategic recommendations, develops and implements data entry policies, and ensures the database effectively captures constituent information and generates accurate financial reports.
Additionally, the Foundation Donor Database Manager regularly leads training and support for VHF staff and communicates with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency. This role plays a key part in advancing the mission on Valleywise Health, to provide exceptional care, without exception, every patient, every time.
Annual Salary Range : $60,736.00 - $89,585.60

Job Functions :
- Oversees the accuracy, quality, and security of all donor and gift data in Raiser's Edge NXT. Ensures consistent data entry, maintenance, and coding, and implements modifications to support accurate reporting and integration.
- Leads timely and accurate entry, processing, receipting, and acknowledgment of gifts. Coordinates with fundraising and stewardship teams to ensure personalized donor communications and tax receipts.
- Creates and initiates the development of custom reports, queries, and performance metrics. Analyzes donor trends, retention, and giving patterns to recommend fundraising strategies and organizational goals.
- Leads change management for fundraising opportunities, system upgrades, workflow improvements, and database structure enhancements. Creates solutions and process improvements in collaboration with IT.
- Provides technical support, leads staff training, and creates written documentation for staff using the donor database. Fulfills data-related inquiries and develops user guides and best practices.
- Collaborates with marketing, fundraising, events, and finance teams to provide accurate data and insights for prospect research, budgeting, compliance, donor engagement, and campaign planning.
- Maintains thorough documentation to support audits and continuous process improvements.
Education :
An associate's degree is required.Experience :
Requires database management experience with Raisers Edge NXT.Three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in database management.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a growing team that prioritizes culture, mission, and professional development.Knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques and desire to grow knowledge and experience in a health care setting.Ability to collaborate and serve as the subject-matter expert for senior-level executives.Proficiency in managing donor and constituent databases. Proficiency in database administration, prospect and constituent management, data imports and exports, and development of reports.Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to relate well to, and build positive, productive relationships.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple projects to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including the use of document merges and file exports.Ability to learn new database management procedures.
