Inventory Control Specialist
Responsibilities
Inventory Accuracy & Validation
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to validate accuracy in Microsoft D365 in Fontana and Riverside locations.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Identify root causes of inventory variances and recommend process improvements.
D365 System Management
Maintain accurate material master data, inventory transactions, and movement records in D365.
Process inventory transactions including receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
Monitor and update inventory statuses (e.g., available, on hold, damaged, quarantined).
Material Control & Logistics Support
Track and manage material movements across warehouses, production, or distribution areas.
Support material planning, replenishment, and stock availability for operations or manufacturing.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to resolve material issues.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate and analyze inventory reports from D365 (stock levels, discrepancies, aging, etc.).
Maintain accurate records of adjustments, investigations, and resolutions.
Provide regular updates to management on inventory accuracy and risks.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control and system usage.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Education
Minimum of High School Diploma
Qualifications
4 years' experience in warehouse management or inventory control.
Possess moderate to advanced personal computers and software skills as required for the position : MS Office Suite (Word, Access and Excel).
Intermediate Excel Skills required
Working knowledge of IFS, EPICS or ERP system is required.
Ability to plan workday activity to minimum operational disruption.
Operation of a forklift daily
Daily / weekly KPI reporting
Ability to review data entry and posting for accuracy to minimize transaction corrections
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized
Good interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
The pay scale for this position is $22.27 to $30.62. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
