AV ENGINEER

Position Summary:
The Live Events Audio-Visual Engineer will be joining a highly successful and functional team that supports the needs of Graton Resort & Casino. This position is responsible for the maintenance, assembly and operational duties for a range of live Audio Visual and stage equipment with the purpose of creating the best possible guest experience. This role will assist with the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures, as well as the creation and documentation of preventive maintenance procedures for live event Audio Visual equipment.

Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and
procedures.
3. Work with third-party resources required to support live events and to gather information such as equipment needs and requirements. Assist with the oversight of A/V equipment setups and operation for live events, including microphones, speakers, audio mixers, video switchers, and ETC lighting consoles.
4. Use industry standards and best practices to help design and scope A/V systems to meet property and guest's needs. Assist with the oversight of setup and verification of A/V equipment such as speaker systems, digital mixing consoles, LED video wall feeds, signage display feeds, video switchers, video distribution systems, robo-cameras, and stage lighting equipment.
5. Assists with the creation and documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures for A/V equipment operation and repairs.
6. Help identify and find solutions to potential problems pertaining to A/V system performance, support and reliability.
7. Assist with the creation and oversight of preventive maintenance for A/V equipment. Manage
maintenance logs to ensure that equipment has been serviced properly to ensure long-term
performance. Flex Rental Solutions experience a plus.
8. Monitor and operate a variety of audio consoles, and wireless microphones for live events including Midas, Mackie, Allen & Heath, Behringer, Yamaha, and Avid audio mixing consoles, along with Shure, and Sennheiser wireless Microphone and In Ear systems.
9. Help with the setup, operation, and breakdown of a variety of meetings and live events using
equipment such as digital audio mixers, lighting consoles, video switchers, robo-cameras, and live
streaming.
10. Work with Sales & Catering to help design and construct stage sets based on event requirements.
11. Receive and respond to incoming calls, and/or e-mails regarding live A/V events.
12. Oversee A/V equipment inventory. Ensure that commonly used items for repairs and installation are in stock and available. Maintain inventory logs in Flex.
13. Document changes made to any A/V systems, or equipment.
14. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding Audio Visual and Low Voltage infrastructures.
15. Require the availability for all shifts and hours to support live entertainment events.

Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Strong experience with Live Audio Visual events technologies; willing to meet the 24-hour demands of a successful Hotel/Casino operation.
3. Minimum of five (5) years' experience with Audio-Visual event operation with applicable technologies.
SMAART, Dante, Avid, and GrandMa certifications are a plus.
4. Experience in A/V systems setups, commissioning, and troubleshooting/maintenance.
5. Familiarity with A/V integrated control systems such as Crestron.
6. Knowledge and direct experience with audio systems.
7. Excellent understanding of signal flow in both audio and video setups.
8. Experience using digital multi-meters, toning and/or testing cables.
9. Background in corporate event operation, stage management, and a strong understanding of
IP/networking skills are an advantage.
10. Have a passion for the Audio Visual field and able to learn new technologies in a rapidly evolving industry.
11. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements:
1. Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
2. Manual dexterity to operate hand and foot controls.
3. May require prolonged standing. Requires bending, stooping, reaching from floor level, climbing
ladders and stairs.
4. May require lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
5. Requires hand/eye coordination and depth perception.
