A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized speech and language assessment and therapy services for elementary school students. This contract role spans the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, with services delivered in person, supporting students in their academic and personal communication development.

Duration: Contract through June 2026
Setting: Elementary School (in-person)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support planning efforts
- Provide consultative services to staff regarding speech and language diagnoses and interventions
- Maintain effective communication with students, families, school staff, and healthcare agencies to monitor progress and address student needs
- Assist in developing appropriate language programs for classroom and community settings
- Support students with speech and language impairments to enhance their communication skills for academic success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Commitment to working with students with special education needs and their families
- Experience in speech and language assessment, evaluation, and consultation, preferably with school-aged children
- Ability to foster positive and professional relationships with staff, families, and community partners
- Knowledge of special education processes and disability categories, with flexibility to support early learning or atypical impairments
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and effective two-way communication
