Job Description Summary:
The position is within Technology, and we are seeking a Data Modeler with strong hands-on experience in developing Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models across Banking and Finance with a preference for Wholesale Lending. Candidate must have experience in developing large scale data models that fits multiple lines of business. The work will involve developing strategic state-of-the-art solutions using agile methodologies, micro services, and integration with many application/services.

Institutional Clients Operations and Technology develops innovative solutions and provide exceptional service to our clients in full partnership with our product teams. Institutional operations group is responsible for the management and execution of transactions for Markets, Credit Risk, Security Services, Information Services, Private Bank, Treasury and Trade Solutions and Operation Controls and reporting. The technology arm of ICG engaged in the application development and support for various lines of businesses

Responsibilities:
Identify data and information needs for wholesale lending business
Deep understanding of information and data architecture, keen eye in business data and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level
Develop conceptual, logical, physical models and metadata solutions in UML using Magic Draw tool, and validate the models with spec by use case examples
Working with product and technology teams to understand requirements and partnering with Engineering team to execute the models
Design and maintain blueprint of the information architecture, data integrations and controls aligned to the renewed business strategy
Unify data concepts across disparate front office, credit risk, servicing, and reporting functions
Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and data from existing systems
Participate in requirement engineering and working groups and collaborate with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists, and governance teams
Define, model, and rationalize target state solution, socialize with key stakeholders, and conduct walkthrough
Incorporate data standards and implement governance model
Develop data flows, ownership matrixes, mapping, and data lineage
Assist in the implementation of physical data model, contribute to the system and operational design, carry out optimization for usability and performance

Qualifications:
8-10 years hand-on experience in Data Modeling and Data Architecture
Extensive experience in UML/relational/hierarchical and business data analysis
Experience in Object Oriented development is a big plus
Python experience
Hands-on modeling expertise using Magic Draw, Erwin or Enterprise Architect and metadata management tools
Prefer data modeling experience using Magic Draw and Cameo. Utilize Code Engineering Sets to generate executable code
Financial industry knowledge in Capital Markets/Banking is a plus
Knowledge of Data Management methodologies involving architecture, modeling, storage, security
Prior experience in data integration, interoperability, and data quality solutions.
Analytical and problem solver, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Certification in Data Architecture / Modeling is a plus
