Server – The Roof Restaurant

$2.13/hr + Tips ($35-$50/hr for top performers) | Upscale Dining | Downtown Salt Lake City

Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, our restaurants and event spaces offer unforgettable dining and event experiences in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah.

From upscale dining at The Roof Restaurant overlooking the Salt Lake Valley to elegant banquets and celebrations, our team delivers exceptional hospitality, outstanding food, and memorable guest experiences.

We’re looking for passionate professionals who take pride in their craft and want to contribute to a team known for excellence.

Part-time | 20–30 hours/week | 3–5 shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, establishing rapport and setting the tone for a memorable dining experience
• Guide guests through the menu with strong product knowledge while offering thoughtful recommendations and upselling when appropriate
• Accurately take orders, enter them into the POS system, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
• Monitor tables to ensure guest satisfaction and respond quickly to requests or concerns
• Collaborate with runners, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless and efficient service
• Maintain clean, organized sections, side stations, and service areas throughout the shift
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and professionalism
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of serving experience, preferably in upscale dining or upscale restaurants
• Strong understanding of upscale food service standards
• Ability to provide personalized service and anticipate guest needs
• Consistent reliability and punctuality
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction

Job Environment/Other Job Requirements

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

Compensation

• $2.13/hour + Tips (Top Servers can earn $35-$50/hour depending on shift availability, guest volumes, and individual performance) This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
