Duties and Responsibilities
This position reports to the Desktop Operations Manager within the Bureau of Service Operations and is responsible for providing systems administration, as well as 1st and 2nd tier support within the Desktop Operations team, which provides installation, implementing, maintaining, and supporting distributed computer systems and peripherals, including hardware, software, and communications components. This team supports the department’s desktops / laptops and related peripherals.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following :
Experience installing and supporting Windows Operating Systems;Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical incidents locally and remotely;Experience working on a technology team.A bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems (or)A bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university (or) completion of a two-year program of study from a vocational / technical school or accredited community college in a computer science field (or) two years’ experience working in a distributed systems environment;Experience using Microsoft Systems Center / SCCM;Experience using enterprise data protection and / or encryption solutions;Law Enforcement IT support;Experience using Active Directory;Experience using enterprise desktop deployment solutions;IT service desk / help desk experience including MS Office support.Experience supporting Windows 10 or higher.Experience with desktop and laptop hardware / configuration repairs.Job Related Requirements
A Level 2 background check, along with Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, to include a fingerprint-based check of the criminal records of the FBI, as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes. Please note that, since this position requires CJIS clearance, the Department will have access to all an applicant’s criminal and juvenile delinquency records, even those that have been sealed or expunged.This position is subject to on-call and call-back to work, seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day, as needed, in the event of an outage or emergency, and is eligible for overtime pay.Selected candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.General Information
