THE POSITION

The Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation (BEI) is looking for a detail-oriented individual to be a key member of a team of dedicated professional conduct investigators. BEI conducts investigations into allegations of violations of standards of conduct, laws, rules and regulations for twenty-nine licensing boards and commissions within the commonwealth. This position is headquartered in King of Prussia(Montgomery County)however, the majority of this position will be fieldwork in Philadelphia County.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Professional Conduct Investigator 1, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting investigations pertaining to allegations of policy violations within the professional and occupational licensing boards and commissions under the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs. You will work closely with supervisors and prosecuting attorneys to ensure all necessary and factual information is obtained, reviewed and evaluated. This position travels to various sites in a geographic area of the state to conduct investigations and inspections by observation, interviews, and fact gathering, noting any deviation from established standards, and preparing reports to communicate findings. Excellent communication skills are imperative, as you may need to provide testimony during court proceedings in addition to facilitating in-person interviews and compiling thorough, accurate, and timely reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
• Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time at the discretion of the program area and supervisors based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
