UX Technical Writer

Shift Information

Monday-Friday,

Hybrid position! 3 Days would be onsite, 2 days remote.

Pay range

starts at $50+ / hr!

6+ Month contract

to start! This is a

Contract (No 1099 / C2C), with a strong possibility of temp to hire after the original duration based on performance & budget at that time.

Job Description

Position is primarily responsible for designing and developing modern, web‑based technical help content that enables users to effectively operate complex laboratory and scientific systems, applying strong UI / UX and learning principles.

Position will also be responsible for creating modular, single-sourced content using modern authoring tools, integrating HTML / XML, multimedia, AI‑enabled workflows, and structured content optimized for chatbot and digital experiences.

Position will be in charge of collaborating cross‑functionally with global teams, gathering requirements, managing content work through project tracking tools, and continuously improving documentation through user feedback and analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is

required!

Degree specifically in Technical Communication, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is

preferred!

7–10 years of experience in senior technical content design or technical communication is

required!

Strong proficiency with modern technical authoring tools, including advanced experience with a leading single‑source content platform, is

required!

Proficiency with HTML / XML authoring, modular content strategies, and UX‑driven content design is

required!

Strong written and verbal English communication skills and experience working cross‑functionally in a global environment is

required!

Experience creating AI‑ready or chatbot‑optimized documentation and structured content is

preferred!

Background in life sciences, engineering, biotechnology, or a scientific industry environment is

preferred!
